Delphyr is a love letter.
I grew up on late nights in the late '90s and early 2000s — Ocarina of Time (I was obsessed with the hookshot), Super Smash Bros. Melee, and later Undertale, RuneScape, Minecraft. You name it, I probably sank too many hours into it. Delphyr is my attempt to fold everything I loved most about those games into one.
That hookshot I fell for as a kid became the grapnel. The pull of mining one more layer deeper in RuneScape and Minecraft became the whole game. A character you grow stronger with every run, a story to uncover, fights that actually test you — it's all in here, my way.
I'm a self-taught developer, and this started as a side project just to see what I could build. I fell in love with creating, and Delphyr is my creative spin on the things that made me love games in the first place.
The dwarf is my tribute to Gimli — stout, fearless, a master of his craft. The deep is meant to feel tense and suffocating, then crack open into something vast. An adventure. If you walk away remembering one thing, I hope it's a moment of cave traversal that catches you completely off guard.
Thanks for being here this early. Getting this idea out of my head and into your hands is the whole dream.
